This pack is outstanding. I used a dry case prior to this and it didn’t even compare.. This pack has much more room, far more functional, and it has actual usable pockets in it.. it’s nice to know my stuff will stay dry in the rain or if I drop my pack in the water..

I have been searching for a quality 100%. waterproof backpack since my last pack started leaking. I was using dry case prior to this.. The Hella Dry backpack is top notch, compared to dry case. It’s bigger and I trust it more. Tthere are more pockets to store gear inside and on the outside.. It’s nice because you can literally float your backpack in the water next to you and know that your stuff is going to be dry on the inside. Love it.

I’ve been using this backpack for two years packrafting and duck hunting and it’s been working great. Last weekend I forgot my marsh stool and the backpack was so airtight I sat on it for 4 hours and it held air except for two refills. I wouldn’t recommend it for this purpose cause it’s pretty hard on the seams but great on a pinch. Only complaints are the water bottle mesh holder is built for a capri sun, not a water bottle, and the grab handles are unnecessarily large and heavy but not a significant negative

Not sure how Jordan and Jason did it but they made an already incredible product even better. The improvements from the Tortuga to the Archelon not only were essential but are perfect! Great job I love this bag!!

My OG 28L has seen some stuff and still keeps rolling. From the field, marsh to the flats and open ocean this thing has survived/thrived in the mud, muck, storms and scary seas while keeping my gear completely dry and readily available. An essential piece of gear that absolutely has no quit!

100% waterproof is correct! no worries of any water getting in, like the extra zipper pockets inside and out. Holds all your gear and necessities. my go to bag when guiding.

I first saw these bags at NWTF in Nashville a couple years ago. I wanted one so bad because I had recently went duck hunting with a "waterproof" backpack from another company that we won't name.... needless to say, my stuff got soaked and I had a bunch of wet shells that wouldn't fire and a ruined cell phone that didn't make calls.
This past season, I took the plunge again but this time with a Hella Dry bag and let me tell you! If I wasn't a believer before, I am now! My clumsy self tripped over my feet on a boat hunt and lucky for me, I was wearing my bag. Not only did everything stay dry (hella dry I must say) but I floated!! This bag saved my ass and my gear! Lifelong customer now fellas!

I’ve been duck hunting for about 4 years now and I’ve bought a couple different bags that claim to be 100% waterproof but all of the other bags wouldn’t even make it through the first split. I bought this bag this summer and I can honestly say it has surpassed all expectations. I have put it through some very difficult situations and it has done amazing.

This is a great waterfowl backpack. I have used on several duck hunts, keeps my gear dry. Easy to use and lots of room.

I would rather get palm slapped by Mike Tyson than use another book bag for season

I have been blown away by this backpack since I put my hands on it. Perfect for plenty of dry storage on a simple flats skiff, and convenient / comfortable enough to haul all the gear needed for walking the flats or a day on the creek. Three pockets of bone-dry storage, wrapped up in a great looking piece of gear. Would absolutely recommend for any outdoor enthusiast.

I just want to be fair...I haven't use the backpack yet. However, overall the feel of the backpack and the construction of it seems like well made of thick "PVC" material. The zippers are robust and well made. I will try and provide an update if there's any issues after I used it.

I had been looking for a backpack that was semi waterproof that I could use for fly fishing and hunting waterfowl and this was the answer! Its perfect with 3 different pockets. The main pocket is huge, it can fit literally everything I need and then some more.

I pre-ordered this bag back in October and received it in November so i have put this bag through an entire season of beating. I was blown away with the performance of the bag. This bag was a huge upgrade from the bag I was using. Love the size and it keeps my stuff dry! Backpack is definitely better for walking in with all my gear.

Stop looking at the 300 dollar Yeti backpack and get you a Tortuga. Fits comfortably, is certainly waterproof, easy to clean and half the price. Includes a slot for your energy drink or coffee tumblr. Curious about the purpose of the buckle system on the side I'm sure it serves a legitimate purpose since this thing is so well made. Small zipper pouch on the exterior holds hunting licenses perfectly and keeps em dry.

This bag is amazing. Just like the company itself! Waterproof and tough. Great for hunting, fishing and everything in between.

This is the best quality bag I’ve ever had hunting. It keep all my things dry, has so much room for everything inside, has 2 outside pockets and a place for a drink, and it’s has spots to attach my straps. It’s also so sturdy, doesn’t collapse and the quality is insane. Better than the Yeti.

About 6 years ago I purchased a Drake waterfowl bag pack. The bag was built well and lasted me for years, however I soon realized that the bag was way more water-resistant than waterproof. I used to have to go home after hunting in heavy rains, only to then spend another hour or more drying my gear off that was in my bag pack. This was an absolute pain in my ass and I used to ask myself why I didn’t own a waterproof bag pack. I can even remember days of bringing an extra heavy duty trash bag just to put my waterfowl bag pack in if it started raining too hard.

Fast forward, I heard about this Tortuga bag before it’s release date and I knew that it was something that was essential for me. I am the guy who is going to hunt no matter what the weather man says….can’t kill them from the couch. I am also the guy who puts my gear to the test, I don’t even baby children so I damn sure don’t baby my gear. So far I have had this bag for about 2 months and hunted with it at least 15+ times. I literally do not have a single complaint about the bag yet. It truly is so comfortable that most times I forget that it is on my back. I literally will be throwing out decoys and remember I have a bag on 1/2 way through. I like how it is not “too big” and I don’t just start filling it with unnecessary stuff. It is super durable and I love how neutral the color is. Lets be honest…. High&Dry isn't making any subpar products. This bag is amazing and it pairs well with my H&D Utility Pole. As long as H&D is making quality products and providing me with excellent customer service, they have a customer for life with me!

Rad backpack. Used it this hunting season and can confirm it went into the drink a few times and all my gear was high and dry ! Took it out in the goose fields and in the duck marsh and it never let me down. I’ll be using it all summer out in my boat. If you’re looking for a waterproof backpack. Look no further. Fits enough stuff that even Mary Poppins is impressed.

While I haven’t hunted with the Tortuga yet and I can tell you already this thing is awesome. Did a sink check and she is airtight and definitely waterproof. I love the layout of the pockets too. Can’t wait to beat the hell out of this bag for years to come because I know it will take all of the abuse and more flawlessly.

This bag has been taking a beating since buying it. It goes through all the snow and ice out west and never fails. All my gear is dry everytime. Worth the spend!

Early comments (2 hunts) - Price point is fantastic for a fully waterproof backpack with these features. Zippers are smooth, exteriors pockets and features are dialed in! Stands up nicely on its own. Top opens nice and wide to access all your gear. Will report back with additional feedback after logging more hunts but this is the bag to have! I have tried 5 other leading waterfowl backpacks and this puts them all to shame! This bag is on point!
